The Deputy General Manager of China Railway Signal and Communication International (CRSC International), Mr. Yin Yungong, has congratulated Nigerian participants who successfully completed a 15-day intensive training on China’s rail transit technology system.

Those who took part in the training include the Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Transportation, Daura, Professor (Hon.) Umar Adam Katsayal, alongside senior management, academic, and non-academic staff of the institution.

The training took place in China from November 20th to December 4th and was designed to strengthen the technical skills of Nigerian professionals working in the railway sector.

Mr. Yungong said he was confident that the knowledge and hands-on experience gained during the program would help the participants make meaningful contributions to Nigeria’s growing rail transit industry. He explained that the training focused on practical problem-solving and deeper understanding of China’s modern railway technology.

He highlighted the strong partnership between CRSC International and Nigerian institutions such as the Federal Ministry of Transportation (FMOT), the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC), and the Federal University of Transportation, Daura (FUTD). According to him, the collaboration is expected to produce more joint projects, including plans to establish a Joint Intelligent Control Research Center in Nigeria.

Mr. Yungong added that CRSC International will continue to work with the Federal Ministry on key initiatives like the Abuja–Kaduna Railway Upgrade, the Low-Altitude Security System, and other strategic developments. He reaffirmed the company’s commitment to supporting Nigeria’s railway modernization and contributing to the country’s economic growth.

He encouraged the trainees to remain in contact with the company, inviting them to visit CRSC’s Nigerian office in Abuja as well as the company’s headquarters in China whenever possible.

The training program, he said, represents CRSC’s dedication to mutual cooperation and long-term partnership with Nigeria. It has also further strengthened the relationship between the two countries in the area of rail transportation development.
