The Theatre Commander , Sector 2 JTF, Operation Fansan Yamma, Major General Idris Warrah says the Nigerian Army is applying effective strategies aimed at total eradication of Banditry amid soaring LAKURAWA and other Bandits activities in the North West geopolitical zone of the country.

Major General Warrah stated this in Sokoto while addressing troops undergoing training at the 8 Division headquarters Sokoto, shortly after inspecting facilities at the training unit.

According to him, the Army is intensifying its operational capacity towards putting all security challenges in the history checklist, assuring that no stone will be left unturned in the quest to achieving the desired objectives.

The theatre commander noted that professional competence, discipline and regimentation would be the driving force towards ending and not reducing the activities of bandits in the Country.

Major General Idris Warrah who was in the company of General officer Commanding 8 division Nigeria Army Sokoto, Major General Ibikunle Ajose also inspected Army accommodation and other military facilities at the Illela 248 Recce Battalion, in Sokoto State .
