The Progressive Governor’s Forum (PGF) has applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for strengthening the security architecture in Nigeria, human capital development and his commitment to infrastructure renewal.
Chairman, Progressive Governor’s Forum and Imo state Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma said this when he led Governor’s of All Progressives Congress APC, to console and support Governor Umar Bago of Niger state in Minna, over various tragedies of tanker explosion, flood and repeated loss of lives and displacement of citizens.
Hope Uzodinma maintained that, at the sub national level apart from supporting and committing to such ideals, will also use their various states, to show example of what good governance is all about, while stressing that an injury to one is an injury to all which was why they are in Niger state
The Imo state Governor said, they were not unaware that some of the incidents that happened are avoidable but they were due to lack of adequate preparations, however called on governments at all level and well wishers to put in place preventive measures to forestall future occurrences.
In his remarks, Niger state Governor, Mohammed Umar Bago appreciated them for the show of solidarity saying that the visit was an indication that they are one family, and thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his leadership qualities and also applauded him for his untiring support at all times.
The Etsu Nupe and Chairman Niger state Council of Traditional Rulers, Alh Yahaya Abubakar who led some first class Emir’s to the Government House Minna, expressed satisfaction over the sympathy visit and prayed to Allah to always guide and protect them in their daily activities.
