The Kaduna Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (KADCCIMA) has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through improved access to credit facilities and investment readiness programmes.
Speaking at an interactive forum titled “Accessing Credit Facilities from DFIs – A Practical Guide for Businesses” held in Kaduna, the President of KADCCIMA, Mr. Ishaya Idi, described the event as timely, considering the persistent challenges entrepreneurs face in securing funds to grow their businesses.
He explained that the session was designed to create awareness, provide practical guidance, and profile eligible enterprises for access to funding from the Bank of Industry (BOI).
“This forum is about turning intent into outcomes. Through our partnership with the Bank of Industry and Gateway Resource & Business School Limited, we aim to ensure that enterprises under KADCCIMA become investment-ready and capable of transforming opportunities into bankable proposals,” he said.
Mr. Ishaya Idi commended the Bank of Industry for its continued support to emerging enterprises in Kaduna and across the northern region, describing the bank’s participation as a demonstration of its commitment to economic development.
The KADCCIMA boss also expressed optimism that the partnership involving KADCCIMA, Gateway Resources, and KAD ICT Hub would serve as a catalyst for industrial growth and job creation across the state.
He noted that a Documentation and Support Desk would soon be established at the KADCCIMA Secretariat to provide continuous guidance, training, mentorship, and partnership coordination for members seeking access to credit and other financial support.
In his remarks, the Northwest Regional Manager of the Bank of Industry, Mr. Suleiman Umar, said the institution is always ready to partner with development-oriented organizations to support trade, industries, and government efforts toward achieving desired objectives.
In an interview with Radio Nigeria, the Chairman of the Kaduna Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, Alhaji Usman Saulawa, commended the stakeholders and assured that the Chamber would continue to collaborate with partners to promote socio-economic development in Kaduna State and Nigeria at large.
The forum attracted participants from the Bank of Industry, Council Members, Gateway Resource & Business School Limited, KAD ICT Hub, members of KADCCIMA, representatives of trade and industry groups, and the media.
