‎The Kwara State Police command says the news of the alleged kidnap and murder of a female police officer(No name) serving in the State was entirely false.

In a statement,  the Police Public Relations Officer SP Adetoun Ejinre-Adeyemi says it is aware of recent news circulating on various social media platforms which are deeply distressing to members of the public.

‎According to the statement, the report is not only false but misleading, with the intent to cause panic in the state.

It advice members of the public to disregard the false and misleading information as there is no report of any female police officer missing or abducted in any division in the state.

The statement explains that the spread of such misinformation is not only harmful to reputations but also distressing to the individuals and the people of the State.

It urge the members of the public and the media outlets to refrain from sharing unverified or sensationalized information that may cause unnecessary panic or damage the reputation of the state.
