The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kebbi State has re-elected Alhaji Usman Bello-Suru as Chairman, alongside other executives, to lead the party for another four years.

Declaring the results, the Chairman of the State Delegates’ Congress, Dr Mukhtar Lugga, described the election as transparent, credible and fair.

The congress, endorsed by delegates from all 21 Local Government Areas, was conducted in the presence of party stakeholders and officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

He added that 38 other executive officers were duly elected by delegates drawn from the 21 local government areas of the state and commended the delegates for their patience, orderliness and commitment throughout the exercise.

In his acceptance speech, the re-elected Chairman, Alhaji Bello-Suru thanked the party members for their confidence and pledged to work with his colleagues to strengthen the party in the state and at the national level, and assured to reconcile aggrieved members and ensure PDP regains its rightful place in Kebbi politics.

Bello Suru further explained that, they would follow the roadmap to Strengthen the party structures and build a robust grassroots network, you can now testify by the Caliber of people Elected today.

He assured his commitment to enhance the Party’s Relevance and Effectiveness in Kebbi State which is already started Insha Allahu and to work tirelessly to reclaim Power Insha Allahu and Serve the Good People’s of Kebbi State, with Honesty and Integrity.

Also speaking, former PDP governorship candidate in the 2023 elections, Aminu Bande, congratulated the new executives and urged them to foster party unity.

Some of the re-elected executives include Hussaini Abdullahi-Raha as Deputy Chairman, and Abubakar Bawa-Kalgo as Secretary among others.
