The National Examinations Council, NECO has released the twenty twenty five SSCE Internal Examination with eight hundred and eighteen thousand four hundred and ninety two candidates scoring five credits and above including English language and Mathematics.
The figure according to the results represent sixty points two six percent.
NECO Registrar and Chief Executive Officer, Professor Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi announced this while releasing the 2025 SSCE Internal Examination Results at the NECO headquarters,in Minna the Niger state capital.
Prof Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi explained that a total of one million one hundred and forty four thousand four hundred and ninety six thousand candidates representing eighty four point two six percent that sat for the Examination have scored five credits and above irrespective of English language and Mathematics.
According to Professor Danteni “.During the conduct of the 2025 Senior School Certificate Examinations,(SSCE),Thirty Eight schools were found to have been involved in whole school (Mass) cheating in Thirty states, stressing that,they will be invited to the Council for discussion, after which appropriate sanctions will be applied.
The NECO Boss hinted that Nine Supervisors, Three in River,One in Niger,Three in F.C.T, One in Kano and One in Osun states were recommended for blacklisting due to poor supervision, aiding and abetting lateness,unruly behavior, assault,and insubordination.
He said during the Examinations there was a communal clash resulting in the disruption of Examinations in Adamawa State from 7th to 25th July 2025 involving Eight(8) schools,saying a total of Thirteen subjects and Twenty Nine (29) papers were involved,and also Five Hundred and Ninety Nine students were affected.
“NECO has commenced talks with the Adamawa state with a view to conducting the Examinations for the affected schools, pointing out that the results of the Eight schools cannot be released now”.NECO Register emphasized.
Professor Dantani Wushishi however stated that the SSCE Internal Examinations results is released Fifty Four days after the last written in August,2025,which signifies that all the processes leading to the successful released of the 2025 SSCE Internal results have been concluded.
He highlighted that the smooth released of the 2025 SSCE Internal results is a testament of the staff of the Examinations body for their professionalism, discipline and relentless pursuit of excellence, intellectual rigour, meticulous attention to quality,and commitment to ethical standards have ensured that the NECO deliver results that are credible and trusted by students, institutions,and the public.
