Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has called for greater understanding among nations and prayed for a world filled with peace in the face of global conflicts.

She made the call when she received the Qatari Ambassador to Nigeria, Ali bin Ghanem Al-Hajri, at her office in Abuja.

The First Lady, while reacting to the recent attack in Doha, stressed that peace, as preached by major religions, is central to humanity and should remain a priority for all nations.

Discussions during the visit, which held largely behind closed doors, focused on strengthening partnerships between the Renewed Hope Initiative and the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development.

Both parties explored areas of collaboration, particularly in promoting the Almajiri system of education and tackling the challenge of out-of-school children in Nigeria.

Ambassador Al-Hajri expressed gratitude to the First Lady and the Nigerian people for their solidarity and call for global peace, noting that Nigeria remains a valued partner to the State of Qatar.
