Co-ordinator Federal Pensioners for south-western geopolitical zone comrade Mukaila Ogunabote has expressed concern over delayed settlement of retirees benefits despite several assurances by the federal authorities.

Comrade Mukaila Ogunbote in an interview in Lagos warned of continued protests by the Senior citizens if such neglect persists.

The co-ordainator said selected leaders of the retirees’ unions would meet on Tuesday to strategise over their next line of action unless the benefits are paid as promised in-the-past.

Comrade Mukaila Ogunbote reminded the relevant authorities of non-implementation of the new minimum pension and palliatives following fuel subsidy removal and COVID-NINETEEN epidemic.

He appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the National faced Assembly to intervene considering challenges feces by the pensioners.
