Northern States Governors have been advised to work towards reviving industries in the geo-political zone to tackle socio-economic challenges.

A former member of the National Assembly, Senator Abubakar Sadiq Yar’adua, gave the advice in an interview in Kaduna.

Senator Abubakar Yar’adua was concerned over reports that collapsed Textiles were yet to be rehabilitated despite one hundred Billion Naira provided by the Federal Government decades ago.

The former legislator who is a chieftain of the ADC expressed the hope that such industries would be revived to check unemployment which escalated insecurity in the zone.

Senator Abubakar Yar’adua also stressed the need for improved agricultural activities to provide required raw materials for the industries after their revival for sustainable development.
