Chief Press Secretary, Hamisu Mohammed Gumel

Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Jigawa State Council, has inaugurated a Press Conference Committee to enhance media engagement and coordination in the state.

The committee was constituted during the Council’s meeting held on Wednesday, under the leadership of the State NUJ Chairman, Comrade Isma’ila Ibrahim Dutse.

According to a statement, the Council Secretary, Comrade Aisha Ahmed, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor has been appointed as Chairman of the committee.

Other members include Ahmad Muhammad Elleman, Mrs. Zainab Abu Ibrahim, and Abubakar Maishanu, while Najib Umar will serve as the Secretary.

Comrade Ibrahim stated that the terms of reference for the committee will be communicated in due course.

He added that the formation of the committee takes immediate effect and is part of broader efforts to strengthen collaboration between the media and public institutions in Jigawa State.
