Builder Dr. Mohammed Uba has been honoured with the prestigious Rootswatch National Award 2025 in recognition of his exceptional contributions to human capital development, execution of developmental projects, and quality leadership.
The award was presented today at the International Merit Award Centre, Abuja.
Dr. Uba was honoured alongside three other local government leaders from Jigawa State: Abdullahi Na Layi, Jarma of Garki, and Malam Madori for their collective efforts in driving grassroots development.
The event attracted dignitaries from across the country and served as a source of motivation for local council leaders to intensify their service delivery.
Expressing gratitude, Dr. Uba thanked the people of Birnin Kudu for their unwavering support and pledged continued commitment to serving humanity.
He also appreciated Governor Umar Namadi for creating an enabling environment that empowers local councils to impact lives meaningfully.
The award reaffirms the growing recognition of effective leadership at the grassroots level and highlights Jigawa State’s strides in development under the current administration.
