The Kaduna State Government says the National Youth Service Corps( NYSC) scheme has continued to instill leadership skills, personal growth and empower youths to become agents of change in various communities, State at large and Nation as a whole.

Governor Uba Sani made the remark at the Opening and Swearing – in Ceremony of the twenty twenty- five batch ‘A’ stream one Orientation Course held at the Temporary Orientation Camp in Kaduna.

The governor who was represented by Commissioner for Human Services and Social Development, Hajiya Rabi Salihu urged Corps members to actively participate in the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme by leveraging on the resources and knowledge it provides.

He added that corps members’ welfare and safety has remained top priority of his administration.

Also speaking at the ceremony, State coordinator of the scheme, Mrs. Efeke Murna Dadaza encouraged Corps members to uphold exemplary behavior throughout the exercise and endeavor to attend all camp activities especially the SAED Training.

She reported that a total of two thousand and sixty-two corps members comprising one thousand one hundred and one (1,101) males and nine hundred sixty-one (961) females have been successful sworn in to commence the orientation exercise.
