The Zamfara State Police Command has successfully rescued six kidnap victims during a swift search and rescue operation, in its commitment to restoring peace and security across the state.

In a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Yazid Abubakar said a joint team comprising police operatives and Community Protection Guards (CPG) was on highway patrol along the Anka-Gummi Road when they discovered an ash-coloured Peugeot 206 abandoned by the roadside, raising suspicions of a kidnapping incident.

According to the statement, the security team promptly launched a coordinated search operation, which led to the safe recovery of six kidnapped Victims ,they have since been reunited with their families.

The Commissioner of Police, Zamfara State Command, CP Ibrahim Balarabe Maikaba, commended the operatives for their swift and effective response.

He reiterated the Command’s unwavering dedication alongside other security agencies to rescuing all abducted persons and ensuring the safety of lives and property throughout the state.

CP Maikaba also called on residents to remain vigilant and to promptly report any suspicious activities to the nearest security agency for immediate intervention.

The statement further stressed that the Zamfara State Police Command remains resolute in its mission to dismantle criminal networks and restore lasting peace in the state.
