A Non Governmental Organization, NGO Advocacy for intergrity and rule of law AIRLIN says it will continue to advocate for the sustainable peace, unity, security and rule of law in the country..
The National Co-ordinator of the AIRLIN, Alhaji Mohammed Ibrahim Gamawa stated during a one day sensitization workshop held in jos the plateau state.
Alhaji Mohammed Ibrahim Gamawa said, the essence of the sensitization is to teach people on how to be good citizens, respect the rule of law, live in peace with one another irrespective of the religion and tribal differences.
According to him, without peace, unity and hermony there will be no any meaningful development and economic progress across the state and the country.
“Today we succeed in opening of fifteen states out of nineteen in northern nigeria and as well the AIRLIN is an NGO that engaged it self in awareness telling the public how to become good citizens and respect the rule of in nigeria to understand each to in peace among themselves, he added…”
The National Co-ordinator of the AIRLIN maintained that, the non governmental organization also engaged in sensitizing the public on the importance of obtaining their NIN and Voters Card to elect credible leaders in the next general election.
“And at the same time to do what is expected to them as citizens of the country, and our part of advocacy is telling the nigerians to have their National Identification Number-NIN and Voters Card while their target is before the next general election to have five to six million eligible voters who will come out and assist in electing new president,he said…..”
“Adding that, in the last general election only forty five percent that casted their in whole general election saying is lower of their expectation and advocating for the increase in numbers…….
In a remark, The Plateau State co-ordinator Mr. Salahuddeen Ibrahim said, the aims of the AIRLIN is to promote peace, building youths to contribute their quota in nation building.
In their separate remark, the youth and women leaders both promised to work together to build peace, religious tolerance and educational awareness in the state and the country at large.
The one day sensitization workshop had in attendance various stakeholders, journalists, local government co-ordinators of the AIRLIN among others.
