Governor Dauda Lawal has approved the appointment of Abdulmajid Rabiu Anka as the new Deputy Chief of Staff (DCoS) at the Government House in Gusau.

He succeeds Aminu Almajir, who was recently appointed as a Permanent Secretary in the Zamfara State Civil Service.

The announcement was made in a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Malam Abubakar Nakwada, and signed by his Senior Special Assistant on Media, Suleman Ahmad Tudu.

According to the statement, the appointment takes immediate effect.

Governor Lawal urged the new Deputy Chief of Staff to deploy his extensive experience and dynamism in the effective management of the strategic responsibilities that come with the position.

“Mr. Anka holds a Master’s Degree in Biochemistry (Specialist) from Kazan State University in the Russian Federation, where he also obtained his Bachelor’s Degree. In addition, he earned a Certificate of Proficiency in the Russian Language from Voronezh State University”

“With over a decade of experience in both the public and private sectors, Mr. Anka has held several key positions, including Head of Quality Control at Western Goldfield Group Limited, Abuja; Assistant Chief Regulatory Officer at the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC); and General Manager at the Solid Minerals Development Fund (SMDF), Kaduna”

“Prior to his current appointment, he served as the Senior Special Assistant in the Office of the Executive Governor”
