The 16th Emir of Kano, Malam Mohammad Sanusi II has charged Muslims to incorporate the virtues learned during the holy month of Ramadan into their daily lives.

Sanusi made this call during his sermon at the congregational Eid prayers held at the Kofar Mata Eid ground in Kano.

The Emir emphasized the importance of emulating the teachings of Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) and extending goodwill to the needy.

He also condemned the recent brutal killing of innocent Kano indigenes in Edo State, urging the government to intensify efforts to bring the perpetrators to justice.

Sanusi cautioned residents of Kano to remain law-abiding and avoid taking the law into their own hands.

His message was echoed by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, his deputy, and other top government officials, who joined thousands of people for the Eid prayers.

Despite the ban on Durbar during the Sallah festivities, the atmosphere was lively, with many attendees dressed in colorful attire.

However, some residents, like Bilkisu Ahmad and Mohammad Baffa, expressed disappointment over the cancellation of the Sallah Durbar, which they felt made the celebrations more vibrant.

To ensure a peaceful conduct of Sallah festivities, security was beefed up in strategic locations across Kano.

Meanwhile, the 15th Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, conducted his Eid prayers at the Nasarawa Mini Palace, where prayers were offered for the peaceful coexistence of the nation.
