The Emir of Kauru, His Highness Alhaji Zakari Ya’u Usman II, has called for unity, peace, and the appreciation of diversity as the community gathered for this year’s Ramadan Iftar at his palace in Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

In his address at the annual event, the Emir  stressed the importance of reflection, forgiveness, and togetherness during Ramadan and expressed gratitude for  witness yet another month of Ramadan in peace and harmony.

Highlighting the significance of the holy month, Alh Zakari Ya’u encouraged self-reflection and spiritual growth, emphasising that diversity is a divine blessing and urged the community to embrace and celebrate their differences as a source of strength.

God doesn’t make mistakes. Our diversity is a blessing, and it’s what makes our community strong and vibrant. Let’s continue to embrace and celebrate our differences,” he stated.

 

 

The Emir commended Governor Uba Sani’s administration for its dedication to peace and development in Kaduna, while also recognizing the efforts of the Kauru Local Government Council and security agencies for their role in maintaining stability, particularly in tackling security challenges posed by banditry.

As Eid celebrations approach, he urged the people to uphold values of love, compassion, and forgiveness, and reminded them that Ramadan was not just about fasting but about spiritual renewal and self-improvement.

Similarly, the Secretary of the Emirate Council, Muhammad Sani Suleiman (Dan Buran Kauru), reaffirmed the Emirate’s unwavering commitment to fostering peace, unity, and harmonious coexistence among all members of the community.

Radio Nigeria reports that the gathering concluded with prayers for the security, prosperity, and well-being of the community as it prepared for the upcoming Eid celebrations.
