The Nigerian Army has announced that it will conduct a range classification exercise for 2025 from Monday, March 17, to Wednesday, March 19, at Yar Gaba Barracks in Dutse, Jigawa State.

This was stated in a press release signed and made available to Radio Nigeria in Dutse by the Acting Assistant Director of Army Public Relations, 26 Armoured Brigade, Lieutenant Uzoma Egwu-Ukpai.

According to the statement, the exercise aims to assess the proficiency of personnel in weapon handling and marksmanship.

Lt. Uzoma Ukpai advised the general public not to panic during the period of the exercise on seeing troops moving and hearing of gunshot, especially people living within Yargaba community.

The Acting Assistant Director also ordered people farming, hunting around the range area to keep off their farmlands and hunting area during the period.
