National Orientation Agency NOA has commended Governor Umar Namadi for providing Ramadan feeding to ease the burden on the poor and vulnerable population in the state.

The Jigawa State Director of NOA, Malam Ahmad Tijjani Ibrahim stated this during a tour of one of the centres designated for the preparation of the food in Bulangu community of Kafin Hausa local government area.

He explained that part of the agency’s mandate is to receive feedbacks from the citizens on government policies and initiatives.

Malam Ahmad Tijjani stressed that, various reactions indicate that people support the ongoing Ramadan Feeding initiative of the state government.

According him, “from inception, Governor Umar Namadi FCA has demonstrated concern for the plights of the common man as exemplified in his 12 points agenda, which is people centric.”

He urged the functionaries, especially the food vendors, to demonstrate duty of care, ensuring what is meant for the people actually goes to them.

“You should try to discharge your responsibilities with all sense of fairness and sincerity, because it is when all of us, irrespective of social status imbibe the virtues of fairness and sincerity, that our society can move forward,” he said.
