Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa state has paid unscheduled visits to several Ramadan feeding centers in the state capital to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of the ongoing feeding programme.
Our Correspondent reports that, the Governor visited centers in Dundubus, Karnaya, Kaci and Limawa,
all located on the outskirts of the Dutse metropolitan area.
During his inspection, Malam Umar Namadi commended some centers for their diligence and commitment to ensuring that the Ramadan feeding programme runs smoothly and effectively.
He also expressed strong disapproval upon discovering instances of mismanagement and inefficiencies in some feeding centers.
The Governor emphasized the importance of maintaining transparency, fairness, and proper hygiene in food distribution, urging those responsible to rectify any shortcomings immediately.
Namadi, reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to ensuring that all Ramadan feeding centers operate optimally, serving the people with dignity and respect.
He also assured that necessary measures would be taken to improve service delivery and address any identified gaps in the programme.
The Governor further called on local authorities and community leaders to intensify monitoring efforts to guarantee the seamless execution of the initiative.
He stressed that the welfare of the people remains a top priority for his administration.
