A financial expert, Professor Yushau Ibrahim Ango, says the International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) concern over the current economic challenges in the country is deceptive.

Professor Yushau Ango stated this in an interview in Kaduna.

He emphasized the need for the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to propose constructive solutions to the challenges caused by the removal of fuel subsidies, which were influenced by its policies.

The financial expert described the reduction in food prices as temporary unless farmers across the country were re provided with the necessary inputs, including affordable fertilizer, to enhance agricultural production.

Professor Yushau Ango also noted that the reduction in fuel prices by some oil companies was expected to make petroleum products more accessible to motorists.

He further called for sustainable economic policies to uphold the principles of democratic governance.
