Over two hundreds patients on admission in various hospitals have received free donations of beverages and cash from a non-governmental organization, Islamic Society of Eggon-land as Ramadan Package.
The General Secretary of the Charity Organisation, ISE Alhaji Umar Abdullahi Galle presented the Ramadan Gift in Nasarawa Eggon and Akwanga Local Government Areas of Nasarawa State.
While presenting the items worth millions of naira to the beneficiaries who are in sick bed, at different hospitals, the General Secretary of the Charity organization, Alhaji Umar Abdullah Galle, said the gesture had became part of their norms in serving humanity.
He said, over the years the non-governmental organization were going round the hospitals, orphanages homes and prison facilities to delivered humanitarian gesture to the needy especially in the month of ramadan to enable them fill the relief.
Alhaji Umar Abdullahi Galle maintained that, the Islamic Society of Eggon-land would continue to use any available resources to provide succour to the most vulnerable people in the society in fulfilment of one of the Islamic obligation on the needy.
The Hospital Secretary of Akwanga Specialist hospital, Mrs. Justina Angbas who described the humanitarian gesture by the Islamic Society of Eggon-land as commendable also called on other well meaning individuals in the society emulate ISE.
She explained that, God will continue to rewards and replanish the Charity Organisation of what they have use for sake of patients and voulnarable in society.
Also Speaking, The head of nurses services in nasarawa eggon general hospital, Mr. Ibrahim Salisu Usman expressed their appreciation to the charitable organization for the gesture especially this month of ramadan.
He added that, bringing assistance to admitted patients in this period of harsh condition is commendable and advised them to continue with the kindness as well as pray for their success in their activities
Some of the patients interviewed by radio nigeria, Mrs. Mercy Barnabas and Mr. Aruson Tiga, both appreciate the Islamic Society of Eggon-land for the kindness and bringing relief to then.
Items donated includes milk powder, milo, sugar cubes, juice drinks (chi exotics) and cartoons of bottles water as well as tokens.
