Niger State Government has banned the collection of tax on hawkers and petty traders by revenue collectors across the twenty five Local Government Areas of the state.
State Governor, Mohammed Umar Bago stated this while addressing Newsmen at the Government House Minna, the State capital.

“According to the Governor, “We have observed with dismay how pretty traders and hawkers are being exploited with multiple taxation”.
“As a government, we have resolved that henceforth, no trader, or petty trader, should be taxed.”
