Commonwealth Society of Nigeria has been commended for conferring an ambassadorial title on renowned Zaria-based Islamic cleric and philanthropist, Malam Magaji Umar Dan Aljannah, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to humanity.

The commendation came from Comrade Umar Adamu Sarkinfada, Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), FRCN Chapel, and its FM-affiliated stations across Northern Nigeria, during a press briefing in Kaduna.

Describing the honor as well-deserved, Sarkinfada highlighted Malam Magaji’s unwavering dedication to humanitarian services, particularly his efforts in supporting the less privileged and fostering community development.

He further expressed the NUJ’s full support for the upcoming investiture ceremony, which is set to take place early next month, emphasizing that such recognition serves as a motivation for more individuals to contribute meaningfully to society.

The NUJ Chapel Chairman also called on wealthy individuals to emulate Malam Magaji’s generosity by extending a helping hand to the poor and needy, stressing that collective efforts in philanthropy play a vital role in nation-building and social development.
