Jigawa State Government, in collaboration with the Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes ACReSAL project, has presented cheques to the first batch of project affected Persons in Danmasara community, Dutse local government.
This presentation of the cheques is part of ongoing efforts to support residents affected by the forthcoming development projects in the area, ensuring they receive necessary assistance to rebuild their livelihoods.
Speaking during the presentation ceremony the permanent secretary Jigawa state ministry of environment Dr Abdullahi Umar Namadi urged the beneficiaries to use the funds provided to acquire property in order to ensure judicious utilization.
He said grievance readiness mechanism committee has been set up in order to receive complaints of individuals, urging them to channel the complaint through the RMG.
Earlier, the State Project Coordinator Alhaji Yahaya Muhammad Uba Kafingana pointed out that, justice, equity are been made in the payment to the affected beneficiaries.
Our Correspondent reports that, the ceremony was attended by local leaders, community members, and top government officials, to witness the smooth distribution of funds aimed at alleviating the challenges faced by affected families.
