National Drug Law Enforcement Agency-NDLEA has prioritized renumeration and working conditions of staff to enable them carry out more seizures of illicit substances and arrest drug traffickers.
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Agency, Retired Brigadier General Buba Marwa disclosed this during a working visit to Kaduna state Command of the agency.

During a visit to Kaduna state Command of the agency, the NDLEA boss charged personnel to redouble effort towards tackling drug trafficking in Nigeria.
Stressing the pivotal role played by the NDLEA in Kaduna in the fight against the use or sale of illicit substances, General Marwa said more deployments would be made to help the command contain activities of traffickers.
He assured that the agency under his watch would not relent in going after traffickers pointing to the acquisition of modern gadgets that would aid the fight against drug trafficking.
The NDLEA boss said the agency would strength partnership with local and international organization to help Nigeria overcome the menace of drug trafficking.
In a remark, NDLEA commander in Kaduna, CS Samai’la Danjuma described the visit of Brigadier General Buba Marwa as a morale booster.
He submitted that the command had arrested 155 drug offenders with 2282 pending case and 82 drug abusers receiving treatment and counselling.
Meanwhile NDLEA appealed to media organizations to always support the agency by publicizing it’s activities to achieve more results.
