Gwarzo Local Government in Kano has launched an initiative to distribute free uniforms to primary school students in the area.

This effort aims to improve education quality and learning outcomes for students in the region.

Recall that, the state government launched a program to distribute free school uniforms to 789,000 students across 7,092 primary schools.

Speaking during the distribution, the chairman Gwarzo local government, Dr. Mani Tsoho, pointed out that the provision of uniforms is in line with the vision of the state government in providing free and compulsory education.

Dr. Mani urged head teachers and staff to ensure timely and efficient distribution of the uniforms pledgeding to provide free textbooks to all primary school students.

The chairman commended Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for his commitment through policies and programs aimed at uplifting education to global standard.

In his remarks, the education secretary Gwarzo local government area represented by the school based management committee chairman SBMC Alhaji Aminu Adamu stated that the uniforms will be distributed across primary schools in the ten wards, with a committee overseeing the process.

District Head of Gwarzo, Alhaji Shehu Kabiru Bayero called on parents to maintain proper hygiene by washing the uniforms regularly.

Some parents and guardians who spoke to newsmen described the initiative as apt and promised proper utilization of the uniforms.
