Niger State Chapter of the Christian Council of Nigeria (CCN) has commended the quick response of Governor Umar Mohamed Bago on the recent Tanker explosion at Diko junction in Gurara Local Government Area of the state.

Chairman of the Council Venerable Daniel Tsado who made the commendation in a statement in Minna, said the quick response by the Governor few hours after the incident signifies his deepest concern on the plight of people of the state.

Venerable Tsado however assured the Governor of the commitment of Churches to pray for the quick recovery of the injured victims.

The Clergy man who sympathize with Niger State Government over the  death recorded so far urged those who have loss their loved ones to bear the irreparable loss, saying that death can come in any form and at any circumstance.

Venerable Daniel Tsado who is also the Vicar of the St Peter’s Anglican church of Gbaiko in Bosso Local Government Area of the state ,prayed for the repose of souls of those who have lost their lives as a result of the explosion  that faithful Saturday.

He further explained that the entire denominational Churches in the state are sad over the unfortunate incident and commiserate with the Niger State Governor,.Umar Bago on the death recorded.

The Chairman however reassured the commitment of the CCN  Niger state Chapter of their support to the policies and programmes of Governor Bago led administration to realise the New Niger agenda.

He also commended the Federal Government for its decision to take over the payment of medical expenses of victims who are in critical condition that have been referred to Abuja, in addition to its decision of setting up of a high powered committee to investigate the remote causes of tanker explosions in Nigeria.
