Kwara state government says it was working assiduously to enhance the employabilities of youths in the State.
The state Commissioner for Youth Development ,Shehu Ndanusa stated this during the last quarterly inter-ministerial press briefing, held at the conference room of the Ministry of Finance in Ilorin.
He said the Ministry has concluded arrangements to partner with the National Directorate of Employment (NDE), Industrial Training Fund (ITF), to create employment opportunities for youths in the State.
Ndanusa noted that the partnership will help equip youths with market-relevant skills for employability and entrepreneurship.
He also explained that the Ministry had sent participants from the sixteen (16) Local Government Areas of the State to a training programme for unemployed youths from the North Central Geo-political zones, organized by the Federal Ministry of Youths Development in Jos, Plateau State.
The Commissioner said that the Ministry has partnered with the state Entrepreneurs and Innovations Support Network to foster the enlightenment and training of youths on self empowerment.
He maintained that the Ministry has also partnered with HYPPADEC to empower graduates with vocational kits from its youths transformative programmes.
