Senate Pledges Support for FRCN to Advance Renewed Hope Agenda

The Senate has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) and other agencies under the Ministry of Information and National Orientation in achieving the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

The Chairman of the Senate Committee on Information and National Orientation, Senator Kenneth Eze, gave this assurance while discussing the objectives of the budget defense session, which was adjourned to next week at the National Assembly Complex, Abuja.

Senator Kenneth said the National Assembly, and particularly the Senate, is fully committed to assisting government agencies in achieving the desired objectives of advancing the country by supporting the present administration’s developmental programs.

The Director-General of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), Dr. Muhammad Bulama, who had earlier appeared before the committee for the exercise, was accompanied by the Director of Finance and Accounts, Malam Musa Bako; the Director of Engineering Services, Malam Sanda Askira; and the Director of Corporate Development and Communication, Mr. Osana Omme.

Other Agencies in attendance include the Nigerian Press Council, National Orientation Agency and the Nigerian News Agency of Nigeria NAN.

Recalled that president Bola Ahmad Tinubu on the 18th of December  2024 had presented an estimated budget of 49.7 trillion naira for the 2025 fiscal year and the National Assembly Commenced  budget defence  on the 7th of January 3025.
