Federal government has made available over 250 thousand quality seeds to small holder farmers nationwide as a strategy to guarantee food security.

Technical Advisor to the President on Financial Inclusion, Dr Nuruddeen Zauro who stated this at the second Abuja cooperative summit said this was one of the strategies adopted by the Tinubu administration to ensure food security.

Dr Zauro said the Renewed Hope Agenda of the administration recognises the pivotal roles that cooperatives play in ensuring financial inclusion and ending poverty.

Executive Secretary and CEO of the National Co-operative Cooperative Financing Agency of Nigeria (CFAN), Emmanuel Atama said the summit was organised to strengthen and institutionalise reforms that would help Nigerians rise above the poverty line in the country.

The summit was attended by participants drawn from cooperative societies across the country as well as organisations with stakes in the growth of the cooperative movement and desirous of improving financial inclusion in the country.
