Kaduna State government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Hebei Province of the People’s Republic of China for exchanges and cooperation in various sectors of economy for the socio economic development of the state.

The State Governor, Malam Uba Sani signed the MOU on behalf of the state government while the Vice Governor of the province, Ms. Jin Hui signed on behalf of Hebei Province.

Governor Sani said the sectors are trade, solid minerals, science and technology, energy, transportation, agriculture and infrastructure to promote common prosperity and development.

He assured the government of Hebei Province of Kaduna government commitment for the effective implementation of the MOU.

According to him, the MOU would not only strengthen cooperation, friendship and mutual understanding between Hebei Province and Kaduna State, but it would also impact positively on Kaduna State’s economy and the lives of it citizens.

In her remarks, the Vice Governor Ms. Jin Hui acknowledged the abundant mineral deposits in Kaduna State including Nickel, Lithium and Gold.

Ms. Hui commended Kaduna State Government for its giant strides in the areas of agriculture, health care and infrastructure development,

she further assured of total commitment of the Province of Hebei towards the actualization of the MoU.

The Foreign Affairs Office shall represent the Hebei Province, while the Kaduna Investment Promotion Agency (KADIPA) shall represent the Kaduna State Government.
