The Chairman of the Tripartite Committee on National Minimum Wage, Alhaji Bukar Goni Aji, says the Committee has reached the concluding stage.

A statement from the Head of Press, National Salaries, Incomes and Wages Commission, Mr Emmanuel Njoku says the chairman of the committee, Alhaji Goni Aji urged members of the committee to approach the final stage with honesty, patriotism and national interest.

A 37-man tripartite committee on Minimum Wage was constituted by the Federal Government to recommend a new minimum wage for Nigerian workers.

Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Nkeiruka Onyejeocha had at the Workers Day in Abuja, stated that the new minimum wage will take effect from 1st of May, 2024, whenever it is passed for implementation.
