APC Women Leaders Forum Raises Alarm Over Alleged Party Neglect

Forum of All Progressives Congress (APC) Women Leaders have lamented said they have been neglected by the party.

The President of the Forum, Mrs Patricia Yakubu, stated this when she led 35 other APC states women leaders and the FCT on a solidarity visit to the national chairman of the party, Dr. Abdullah Ganduje at the party headquarters in Abuja.

Mrs Yakubu said in view of the sacrifices made by their members to the party, they should be carried along in all the affairs pertaining to women in the states.

According to her, federal government empowerment programs that have to do with women sound like news to them

Mrs Yakubu also urged the National Women Leader and her Deputy to involve the State Women Leaders in all their programs from the designing stage so as to attract their full participation and involvement to help capture the peculiarities of the various states.

The Forum also expressed total loyalty and support for the National Chairman of the ruling party, urging him to champion the cause of women in the current administration.

The National Women Leader of the APC Dr. Mary Alile, stated that the National Chairman has been instrumental in ensuring that women leaders are not just included but actively involved in the scheme of things.

The National Chairman of the APC Dr Abdullahi Umar-Ganduje, who acknowledged the contribution of women to the victory of the party described President Bola Tinubu as the most gender sensitive President in the history of the country.

Ganduje stated that they have interacting with APC State governors to encourage them to actively involve women in governance.
