Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Niger state chapter, Most Reverend Bulus Dauwa Yohanna, has said that death should be accepted as the ultimate destination for every human being.
The Chairman, who is also the Catholic Bishop of Kontagora Diocese, stated this while leading state executive members of CAN on a condolence visit to former Niger state Governor Dr. Muazu Babangida Aliyu following the passing of his mother, Hajiya Jamila Aliyu.
Represented by his Deputy, Reverend Ezekiel Ibrahim, the CAN Chairman said “we the entire Christendom sympathize with you the former Governor of Niger state, Dr. Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu over the demise of your mother.
According to him “As a Body, we join Nigerians to encourage you to take solace in-the fact that Mama lived a good life and that she will be remembered for all her contributions to humanity.
“As humans, we must accept the fact that, death is a destination we all must arrived at”, the CAN Chairman emphasised.
In his remarks, Dr, Muazu Babangida Aliyu corroborated the CAN Chairman, saying “truly, since we were born till date, we have been hearing about death, but nobody has died and come back to tell us, this is how the life after is except for the Holy Books of Quran and Bible which assured us of life with our maker.
Similarly members of the Niger state Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ lead by its Chairman, Comrade Abu Nmodu have also paid similar condolence visit to the former Niger state Governor in Minna to commiserate with him over the death of his mother.
