Arewa Group Praises Tinubu’s Approval of Sokoto-Badagry Coastal Highway

The Arewa Advocates for Good Governance has described the approval of the design for the 1000-kilometre Sokoto-Badagry Coastal Highway by president Tinubu as monumental.

At a press conference in Kaduna, the National Chairman of the Group, Alhaji Jamilu Mato, said the project was a milestone in the nation’s infrastructure development.

Jamilu Mato explained that when the project is completed, it will transform and connect trading activities across different regions in the country.

this historic milestone is a testament to President Tinubu’s visionary leadership and commitment to enhancing Nigeria’s road infrastructure.

the coastal road would connect the South-West, South-South, North-East, North-West and North-Central regions of Nigeria when completed. This is just as the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway project is ongoing, amongst many other federal government road projects”,he explained.

Jamilu Mato further said that the construction of the coastal routes had the potential to attract foreign investment and contribute significantly to the GDP of the country.

The Chairman reiterated that the group was aware that the Tinubu’s led-government was planing to connect the six -geo-political zones in the country with a network of roads that would foster a more secure, safer and sustainable transportation system.

Jamilu Mato therefore thanked the Honourable Minister of Works, Engr. David Nweze Umahi for his steadfast dedication and tireless efforts in championing the transformative project.

The Chairman also called on Nigerians to join hands with the Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s-led government for a Nigeria where connectivity, unity, progress, and prosperity are accessible to all.
