The Kano state commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Alhaji Adamu Aliyu Kibiya has expressed commitment towards eradicating fake and substandard products to safeguard the health and wellbeing of the Kano residents.

Alhaji Adamu Aliyu Kibiya made the statement when he led a delegation of the ministry including the permanent secretary Muhammad Yusuf Danduwa to an unscheduled visit to state consumer protection council.

He advised those importing such products into the state to have a rethink and repent, Kano government under Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf will not tolerate illegal activities in whatever form.

Adamu Kibiya assured Kano people that, the state government will do all it take to safeguard their health through fighting fake and substandard products.

“We now have litigation over some products the ministry confiscated, but as soon as the court clears everything we will burnt all the products because they are harmful and dangerous.”

He however appealed to Kano residents to help the ministry with relevant information that will lead to confiscation and arrest offenders.
