Kwara State Government has received twelve thousand and fifty-eight bags of grains of maize, millet, and sorghum from the Federal Government.

In a statement, the state Commissioner for Communications, Mrs Bola Olukoju said the breakdowns of the grains included 7, 042 of 50kg bags of maize; 2,916 of 50kg bags of millet; and 2,100 of 50kg bags of sorghum.

The statement says the state government has also received 8,700 of 25kg bags of rice.

The statement also says the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security Senator Abubakar Kyari is expected to flag off the distribution of the grains in the state soon.

The statement maintains that the state government will continue to supports the residents of the state to enable them cope with the inconveniences that trailed the removal of fuel subsidy.
