The Emir of Kauru in Kaduna State, Alhaji Zakari Yau II has intensified efforts to raise awareness about security consciousness among his subjects in light of the prevailing spate of kidnapping and banditry incidents in the state.

His highness Alhaji Zakari Ya’u II, who stated this in his annual Ramadan Iftar Dinner speech at his Palace in Kauru, stressed the importance of vigilance and cooperation with security agencies to combat the growing security challenges.

Acknowledging the alarming rise in kidnapping incidents, the Emir emphasized the collective responsibility of citizens in ensuring the safety and security of the community, while calling for unity and solidarity among the people to confront these menaces effectively.

He also reiterated his call for continued cooperation with security agencies and encouraged residents to play their part in enhancing security consciousness and promoting a safer environment for all.

Alhaji Zakari Ya’u II however, extended warm greetings to all attendees of the annual iftar and expressed gratitude for their presence, underscoring the spirit of fellowship during Ramadan.

Reflecting on the significance of helping others, the Emir invoked a hadith emphasizing mutual support among individuals, urging people to reaffirm commitment to uplifting their neighbours and promoting peace in society.

His Royal highness Alhaji Zakari Ya’u II, therefore, concluded by extending blessings for a fruitful Ramadan to all attendees and their families.
