Nigerian Army Conducts Qualifying Examination for Middle cadre Officers

Nigerian Army has organised senior staff qualifying examination for middle cadre Officers.

Addressing participants, Commander training and doctrine command and President of the examination panel, Major General Kelvin Aligbe explained that the examination is aimed at assessing students level of proficiency to undertake higher responsibilities that may be assigned to them in the course of the career.

He maintained that the exam is also aimed at testing students’ ability to reason logically among others.

The Examination President urged the candidates to have absolute confidence in their abilities to succeed in a legally acceptable way, and warned them to avoid resorting to illegally or fraudulent means.

Major General Aligbe disclosed that certificate of excellence, letter of commendation and cash gifts would be presented to deserving candidates, with a view to encouraging hardwork.

Earlier in his welcome address, Commander Infantry Corps, Major General Olufemi Oluyede said adequate preparations have been made to ensure successful conduct of the examination.

He warned the candidates against unnecessary movement especially at night along Kaduna-Jaji and Zaria road.

The senior staff course qualifying examination is a major pre-requisite for candidates to attend the senior staff course at the Armed Forces Command and Staff College or any of the subscribed staff colleges overseas.

A total of 294 candidates are expected to sit for this year’s qualifying examination.
