The Vice Chancellor of Sa’adatu Rimi University of Education Kano Professor Yahaya Bunkure said Education for people living with physical Disabiliy is free at the University.
Professor Yahaya Bunkure disclosed this during a media briefing in Kano.
He said the institution which was recently converted to a university from a college of Education has met all the designated requisite infrastructure and man power of a modern university.
The vice chancellor explained that the brand new university will begin with twenty programs , saying sixty percent of the admissions will be in favor of science and technology courses.
Professor Yahaya Bunkure maintained that in an effort to support people living with disabilities the university had made the provisions for free education for any person who wants to study in the institution and was identified to have physical disability .
He noted that the university has the required experience Academic and Non Academic staffs to run the affairs of the institution.
The vice chancellor maintained that in the last five years the institution had accessed close to three billion Naira from tertiary education trust fund TETFUND.
Professor Yahaya Bunkure further explained that the institution was working to come out with a moderate school fees geared towards ensuring that parents and guardians settled the fees peacefully.
