Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has directed the Acting Chief Judge of the state, Justice Umar Abubakar to go ahead and decongest Correctional Centers across the state.

He gave the directive while swearing-in the Acting Grand Khadi, Khadi Sadiq Umar-Muktar at Government House Chamber, Birnin Kebbi.

He said the directive became necessary in view of series of complaints about congestion being experienced in Correctional Centers across the state.

The Governor who tasked the newly sworn-in Acting Grand Khadi on justice, equity and fairness in discharge of his duty.

He maitained that the choice of the new Grand Khadi was based on his track records and encouraged him to sustain the tempo.

Governor Nasir Idris assured his administration commitment to support the judiciary with the resources at its disposal to make the judicial workers better.

While promising to operate an open door policy, the governor said, his government is ready to welcome advices, suggestions and constructive criticism that would bring positive development to the state.
