Governor Idris while inspecting the security vehicles at the Police Headquarters in Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State

The Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Nasir Idris, has commended the Federal Government for the supply of highly Sophisticated operational vehicles to the state Police Command.

Speaking while Inspecting the operational vehicles at the Kebbi State Police Command Headquarters Birnin Kebbi, Governor Idris, appreciated the decision of the Acting Inspector General of Police IGP, Kayode Adeolu for deploying the vehicles to the state.

He said, the gigantic effort was directed towards fighting crimes and criminalities by tracing criminals to their hideouts in the state.

According to him, this will assist the command in curtailing banditry activities, especially in the Southern part of the state where bandits in their large numbers used to infiltrate, commit their heinous crimes and escape back to their hideouts in neighboring states.

The Governor assured to continue assisting the police and other security agencies to enable them discharge their duties optimally to rid the state of all forms of crimes and criminalities.

Earlier, the Commissioner of Police, Kebbi State Command, Samuel Titus Musa, thanked the IGP for allocating the operational assets to the command and reiterated his commitment to judiciously utilise them for the purpose they were meant for.

He equally applauded the assistance rendered to Kebbi State Police Command and other security agencies by the governor and assured him that the police were now good to go.
