Kano State House of Assembly has approved the appointment of twenty special advisers.
This was sequel to deliberations on the floor of the house during today’s plenary session, presided over by the speaker, Alhaji Isma’il Jibril Falgore.
Earlier, the house had received a letter from the office of the executive governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, seeking Kano state house to pave way for the appointment of twenty selected people, as special advisers.
After careful deliberations, the house adopted the resolution and approved the appointment.
In another development, KNHA observed a valedictory session in memory of its late former speaker, Alhaji Yusuf Abdullahi Falgore who died on sunday 16th july 2023.
In a motion moved by the majority leader, Alhaji Lawan Hussaini Dala, and supported by members representing Doguwa and Kabo, Salisu Ibrahim Mohammad and Ayuba Labaran Alhassan, the lawmakers, described the late speaker as a person, who worked hard, for the development of the state.
The house adjourned its sitting to Wednesday 19th july 2023.
