Malam Muhammad Nma Kolo

Politicians in the country have been advised to adopt the Niger State model of accepting defeat in good fate in line with the spirit of togetherness and sportsmanship.

The Special Adviser, Political and Strategy to the Niger State Governor, Malam Muhammad Nma Kolo gave the advice while exchanging views with Newsmen in Minna.

Malam Muhammed Nma Kolo will also want States Governments in Nigeria to put into practice the spirit of love, oneness and collective responsibility usually demonstrated by politicians in Niger who without regard to political differences, always considered the State first above their personal interest.

According to him, this has been demonstrated during the last elections in Niger State when the People’s Democratic Party PDP Gubernatorial candidate Isa Liman Kantigi congratulated the winner of the election Mohammed Umar Bago of All Progressives Congress APC even before results were announced by INEC.

“This is the modern politics we are talking about that is devoid of rancour and acrimony for the good of all” Malam Nma Kolo explained.

Nma Kolo further said that Niger State was also among the few States in Nigeria that does not have any court case arising from the outcome of the just concluded Governorship election.

He however pointed out that to them in the state politics was a game of numbers and a step towards entrenching credible candidates to pilot the affairs of Nigerlites for maximum benefit but not as a do or I die affairs.

The Special Adviser also appealed to the people of Niger State to support the administration of Governor Mohammed Umar Bago to succeed.
