KBSG Distributes Free Fertilizers Worth N2.3B To Farmers

Kebbi State Government, has flagged-off free distribution of fertilizer worth 2.3 Billion Naira to farmers in the 21 local government areas of the state.

Speaking while flagging off the distribution of the fertilizer to farmers at Kardiin Birnin Kebbi local government area of the state, Governor Nasiru Idris said, his administration is making history by giving fertilizers to farmers in the state free of charge to fufil their yarnings and aspirations.

Governor Idris said It’s their campaigning promise to provide farmers with farm inputs such as fertilizer, insecticide and farm implements.

According to him, his administration is distributing fertilizer worth 2.3million naira to farmers across the 225 wards in 21 local government areas of the state free of charge.

The Governor said that, the timing for the fertilizer distribution was right as farmers are now in their planting season.

He expressed happiness that, farmers in the troubled area of Kebbi South have also returned to their farms as the government providing security for them.

Governor Idris, warned the distribution committee to be fair as anyone found wanting would be dealth with.

Earlier, the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Yakubu Tafida, said the operational guideline for the fertilizers distribution across the 225 wards of the 21 local governments would be made by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy affairs.
