The Kanwan Katsina District Head of Ketare Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara has congratulated Mr Bashir Adewale Adeniyi on his appointment as the Acting Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service.

The congratulatory message is contained in statement signed by his media officer (Sarkin Labarun Kanwan) Jamilu Hashimu Gora and made available to newsmen.

The Statement describes the appointment made by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as meritorious considering his track records and achievements in the customs service and also been a proper and trained officer who rose through the ranks up to Deputy Comptroller General of Customs (DCG).

Furthermore, the statement called on the newly appointed Acting Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service Adewale Adeniyi to use his experience in the customs service to evolve strategies that will boost revenue generation and suppress smuggling activities in the Nation.

The Statement explained that the Kanwan Katsina who was a retired comptroller in the Nigeria Customs Service and having worked closely with the new Acting Comptroller General in the public relations unit prayed for God guidance and good health to enable him discharge his duties effectively to the Nation.
