CPS Pledges Support To Kano Correspondent Chapel

The Chief Press Secretary to the Kano State Governor, Sanusi Bature Dawakin-Tofa, has pledged to provide necessary support to the newly inaugurated leadership of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ Correspondent Chapel, to ensure smooth operations.

Sunusi stated this the during a courtesy visit to the chapel’s leadership at NUJ press center Kano.

He emphasized that, journalists were integral to the emergency of the incumbent administration’s struggle to attain power, and therefore, essential to support them in order to succeed.

The Chief Press Secretary expressed optimism in the leadership of the chapel, saying that, with the Chairman’s impressive track record and experience, the chapel will make a difference.

In his remarks, the Chairman of Kano Correspondents Chapel, Aminu Ahmed Garko, pledged to work closely with the government, to promote its policies for the benefit of the state.

He urged the Chief Press Secretary, to develop a blueprint for active engagement with the chapel, for the development of the information sector.
