KBSG Committed To Improved Tertiary Education : Official

Kebbi State Government has reiterated its commitment to development of tertiary education in the state.

This was disclosed by the state government delegation led by the Chief of Staff to Kebbi State Governor, Attahiru Maccido, on official tour to the State University of Science and Technology Aliero.

The Chief of Staff explained that, the present administration is ready to support the university to ensure that it produces sound, qualitative and employable graduates.

He commended the efforts of the management for establishing some department that include School of Medicine and Environmental Studies among others.

Maccido said the team were at the university to interact with the management, so as to have a first hand information about the institution with a view to providing the needs of the institution.

Earlier, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Ladan Aliero, who expressed appreciation for the visit also briefed the delegation about the history of the University, important issues, achivements recorded as well as urgent needs that requires government’s intervention.

He thanked Kebbi State Governor and the delegation for their concern and commitment towards supporting the institution for greater productivity.

The chapter President of the Academic Staff Union of Universties (ASUU), Dr Yale and his counterpart of Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU), Nura Kindi gave their inputs during the interaction.
